Valve Materials - HVOF Hardening Process
H1: High-Velocity Flame Spraying and Ni60: Materials Science for Abrasive Fluid Control
H2: Handling "Sandpaper-Like" Fluids
When dealing with catalysts, silicon powder, or mine tailings, polymer seals (PTFE/PPL) can fail within hours. Metal-sealed ball valves are the only reliable option, yet the effectiveness of the coating determines the return on investment of the valves.
H2: Advantages of High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF)
Runheng Machinery employs HVOF technology to spray tungsten carbide (WC) particles onto the ball surface at supersonic speeds.
- Extreme hardness: The surface hardness reaches HRC 70, effectively resisting high-speed erosion and particle impact.
- Superior bonding strength: Unlike low-cost laser cladding or chrome plating, HVOF can achieve a bonding strength exceeding 10,000 PSI, preventing flaking (delamination) under high-pressure water hammer.
H3: Individual Matching and Grinding Process
Hardness alone is insufficient to achieve a tight seal. Each set of ball-and-seat components manufactured in our factory undergoes an "individual matching and grinding" process. We use a blue dye test to ensure a contact area of over 90%, guaranteeing bubble-tight sealing even in abrasive environments.
